Hey all. Hoping that some can give me some tips/tricks in regards to long trips. Truck is a 2022 ER Lariat. Active duty military so making the trip from Maine to Washington (state) which is right around 3,200 miles. It seems the route will be through the NE states, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington (Western). My current location I towed my early bronco with my old gas 2010 F150 (5.4L), I will be paying for shipping. Depending on the situation it will be 2 adults and 1 or 2 dogs (depending on timing). So roughly 450-500 lbs in people and pets. I would say maybe a cooler and some other gear. Rough guess lets just say conservatively 1000 lbs payload. The trip will be in May so temps should be better.
I typically am fine with heated seats and steering wheel. In addition, I am sure a big golden retriever will be heating the cabin
. I drive the speed limit and if possible draft when necessary.
Apple Maps with the new EV statistics show 3 days 3 hours with 26 stops.
Do you all recommend ABRP? Or is the new Apple Maps decent?
I am not thrilled with Fords rollout of the adapter. As an early buyer, I am around 20,000 in line for the adapter that ships in July. I called and asked if I could be prioritized due to my upcoming trip and they told me to pound sand.
Any preference in A2Z and Lectron?
