Dash 'separating' over instrument panel?

I have the same small separation in the dash. I'll probably just live with it since I see it on many F-150s (they probably saved 10 cents on an extra clip). It's probably not practical to fix. What would they even do?

SO what is going to be a final update to this for now. This is apparently just a design problem. The dealer ordered replacement parts, and the problem was worse. So they replaced THOSE, and the problem was back to how it started. I was told I'm going to have to live with it. @Ford Motor Company 's contact apparently didn't respond to/help the dealer at all :/

This was apparently the theme of my repairs... The front speaker grill being warped, the new one warped immediately upon replacing it. The passenger running board they got as a replacement is WORSE than the one already on the truck!

Old thread but I decided to gamble on a new center speaker grille. Part # NL1Z-18978-AK

Mine had a date code of March 2024. Immediately I noticed that towards the front, theres these two plastic "hooks" that I assume is hooking onto the inside lip of the center console. Its totally flat now! Worth the ~$32.

Old thread but I decided to gamble on a new center speaker grille. Part # NL1Z-18978-AK
