Sorry to double-post, but I also wanted to mention that I've noticed more Lightnings over the last year in my neck of the woods. I haven't seen any more CT or Rivians than what was normal. It kind of gives me hope that maybe Ford will keep the Lightning around and just keep making a steady supply (and hopefully make money).

Got my truck in June and up until last week, I hadn't seen the 1st Lightning in my area, lots of Tesla cars, a few Rivians, a couple CT, 1 Volkswagon van, I forget the name. Then less than 2 blocks from home I saw 2 back to back 1 being the exact same color.

I took my own advice:

Picked up a buddy after work today pretty serious Gear Head but he works in instrumentation so knows a lot about "IT" stuff:
- "no if's, and's or but's about it we're going for a drive and you will be driving this truck on the way back"
He put up a bit of a fight, but jumped in the truck anyway and off we went, 0-60 in 4 seconds (he was hanging onto the A-Pillar grab bar and all I could hear was "Holly Crap Robert, what ya got in this thing, rocket fuel"
"Nope, just electrons."

We drove down the hwy a few miles and turned at a side road, switched seats. As we drove back, the questions came rapid fire: what did ya pay for this truck? how far do you get on a charge, do you charge at home - what does that cost ya? Did you say you drive to Winnipeg and back in this truck, how do you do that? is it expensive for insurance?
We discussed all his questions and all he could say was - "I gotta get one of these, can't believe the power it has."

Someone said it awhile back (wish I could recall who) "Get Bums in Seats"
Most guys I know have never been in any EV let alone a Lightning, let them experince it for themselves - you just answer their questions and let the truck speak for itself.

I have taken all of my friends/family for a ride and let them drive it back. There was total agreement that the Lightning is a fantastic vehicle.

There is a guy in my neighborhod with a CT. Everytime I see it I just laugh. He looks silly driving that thing.

I don't discriminate against the ugly but an Armageddon machine that can't handle bird poop?

I've owned my Lightning since May 2024 and I still love driving it after 20K miles. This is my 5th EV in 14 years. I did test drive Cybertruck and Hummer before I decided on my Lightning which was slightly cheaper than the other two AND Ford gave me 0% loan too.... Hands down this is the best car I've ever owned and I just wanted to say I've owned all of the high end brands before (S500, Cayenne, BMW 750, etc)... I only hope Ford will continue investing in the Lightning because I strongly believe there will be more demand as people are still oblivious as to even Lightning's existence... Almost every single time I'm out and I pop the frunk open someone stops by to inquire about it as they've never seen Lightning before and I always advocate for it as if I was a paid Ford spokesperson, lol!
