MA has similar programs. I was participating in NGRID territory for a number of months before Ford decided to stop sharing the data.
I had the same experience with National Grid in MA. I got my truck in January 2023, and for months was getting a discount when charging during non-peak hours until the program (Charge Smart) was stopped. Both Ford and NGRID told me they were "working on the problem" but I have not seen it reactivated yet.

Ford also shares data with DTE in SE Michigan. I get $100 per year, per vehicle. They can stop charging for up to 2 hours, or try and force charging for 2 hours, several times a month (mostly summers). I've gotten hundreds of dollars so far. DTE tells Ford to change the charging, Ford does it.

appreciate the data points really strange how they’re working with some utilities but not others. I wonder what the differences is.

DTE is their home utility. Duke is on the leading edge of testing V2Grid?

If you are on a municipal electric program, and not one of the big 2 companies... many of them offer a program through NextZero. I managed to get a free ChargePoint charger out of that program. Very nice!

IT'S OUR DATA PEOPLE ... or is it? LMAO! Sorry, Fords has no reason whatsoever to not share charging info .. period. I don't take "data security" as a reason. They can hoover up all the data from our vehicles like call records and contacts BUT not share when we charged with power companies, REALLY!. I would rather have my charging records fall into the hand of terrorist then use Andriod Auto and allow Ford to access personal info. Sorry for the rant!

Hello,

Touchstone Energy Co-Op in my State (KY) is a family of electric companies/co-ops that cover a large portion of the entire state of KY. They have rolled out an off peak EV charging discount but for some reason Ford is like the literally only EV maker not in the program. They said Ford wasn't sharing certain "charging data" that they would need to work with their software and the discount. Look at the list of literally almost every over EV!

Does anyone know who or have any suggestions on how I may be able to take this up with Ford and push for them to get involved? This is frustrating.

Thanks!

In the interview with Tom form State of Charge, Farley said it would be a β€œdealbreaker” if Ford had to share charging information with Tesla.

I don’t anticipate that changing based on how definitive that answer was. For some reason, Farley thinks that’s extremely valuable information. I’m not smart enough to understand it though.

I heard that interview. In my opinion he was speaking about all the specifics of the user.

Like when you use Ford's Bluepass Oval Network thing to charge on a Tesla charger your personal information is not being shared. I think it's more of your details of personally identifiable information than "charging data" Tesla already can acquire that from their own equipment.

The ford pass app I noticed does have an ability to look up utility providers that have a "Time of day" charge discount and can even suggest times to charge based on that. So that's interesting.
