I see the part listed in the front grill is part number LJ8Z-19G490-A

How far off is part number LJ8Z-19G490-BC?

Would it work? Just curious what the last part means?

Thanks

I am pretty sure those last letters are the revision level, here's what Google thinks:
  • Part number structure: Ford uses a structured numbering system where the main part number (LJ8Z-19G490) identifies the core component.
  • Letter suffixes: The final letters indicate modifications or updates. In this case, the suffixes '-A' and '-BC' point to different versions of the same part.
  • Possible variations: The variation could be due to a different software level, a hardware revision, or compatibility with specific vehicle trims or option packages.
  • Verification: To know the exact difference, you would need to contact a Ford dealership or consult a parts specialist with the specific vehicle's VIN to see which part is recommended for your application.

The part number On the part is not the same as the part number a parts dept would give you.

The number on the part is a Engineering number.
