Thanks I think that’s the way I’m going - we’ll see how the lid opens and closed when I have in the back seat.
i just did this over the weekend. It’s fine. Just tight enough. I put a ratchet strap around the lid and cut the excess. Works great to pull up quickly.

I bought a Dometic to go camping and my Rubicon just didn't quite make it with one battery and me being alone in the middle of the desert.
It now lives in the Lightning and stays on in the truck full time. Nothing like a big battery. I'd be careful getting too cheap and trusting internet warriors. LOL

We’ve been using these for 2 problem free years. We use the smaller one In in the Frunk as a freezer set to 0 deg and the bigger in the truck bed set to 33 deg. When using them in the Lightning we connect them to 120 vac. We also use them in my Tesla Model Y in the back connected to the 12 vdc port.
