2024 Flash
Hi forum,

I'm in need of assistance as I look to get 18"s for my 2024 flash. I don't know what to look for as I research getting new tires and wheels, specifically looking to be stock wheels.

I found a seller and grabbed some pictures -- looking for a gut check or what questions to ask.

Thank you, and I hope this is helpful for others, otherwise I can delete if not appropriate. Trying to learn and it's a lot to keep track of.

You probably just need to find out the lug pattern. What did they come off of? If you figure it out we'd love to see pics. Those look fantastic.

My 2025 Flash with the exact same wheels. Those are off a 24 or a 25 F150. They're a direct fit. No issues on my truck. I had the same set of wheels and tires on an ice F-150 prior to my Lightning and really like them in that application as well. Good in the winter and no road noise.

When I was recently looking for Ford bolt pattern steel wheels for my Winter tires, I found out to my chagrin that, although there were plenty of Ford six-bolt pattern steelies out there, there were NONE for the weight classification of the Lightning that I could find.

So, I'd check for the weight classification as well as for the look appeal of any wheels before I'd put them on a Lightning. Safety first, right?

This is great info.

Do you know how to look for that or have an example?

In addition to the wheels rating, you need to consider the tire rating as well. The tires you posted in the first post are 116T rated. Your door card will have the required tire info. Here is a picture from my 25' Flash.

My truck requires at least 115T, so the 116T tires pictured above, same as what I have on my Lightning, actually are rated higher than required.

This is great. My card says 116T.

I know this is an assumption, and I will need to check....

if the tire is rated for 116T, then the wheel should be as well... so that's a positive sign the wheel itself can support the weight of the lightning?

I think so. My logic is that wheel and tire combo was spec together as Ford OEM from the factory. So I think it's safe to assume the wheel rating would support the tire rating.

just to confirm, the wheels on your lightning right now were not from factory, you got them "After market"? Was just looking at your post again and couldn't tell

appreciate the detail and collaboration

They are Ford OEM 2024 F-150 wheels and tires, the exact same as your picture. Wheels and tires. I like the Goodyear tires pictured. They are all terrain tires but very quiet on the highway. I noticed no loss of MPG on my ICE F150 with them or loss of efficiency with my Lightning. Your mileage may vary. But the set you have pictured is the exact same ones that I have and it is plug and play for your Lightning.

Here is a picture of the 2024 Ford F150 wheels I installed in the bed of my Lightning before installation.

For those that bought on secondary markets, what ways are you finding this style? About what price ranges should I expect to see for these?

Facebook marketplace. These are all take offs from new F-150s that get aftermarket wheels before leaving dealer or private seller getting rid of OEM after buying aftermarket. Top end is $1300+ and low end is sub $1000.

eBay and other places have them too but FB marketplace is large majority of available wheel/tires for OEM takeoffs.

Tire pressure difference is also interesting for a supposedly very similar truck with exactly the same size tires. I figured the Flash would be 42psi like other ERs carrying the extra battery weight.

Interesting that our '25 Flashs are so different.
