How do I remove the "grill" on lightning

eBay is a great source for new or slightly used emblems and a good discount. Bummed it was busted. Glad I could help a little ??

I I decide to order one I'll order a new one from Fairway Ford. I've got over $800 in Ford Pass Points remaining after a dealer gave me $1400 in goodwill points due to a miscommunication on their part. So using points is not an issue. If I don't use them I will loose them.

They don't make plastic parts as strong as they use to I guess.
Most birds bones are hollow (except for the skull) but I suppose an armadillo is a sturdy beast.

Your story reminded me of driving across county in 1970 and having rabbit after rabbit jump in front of my car as I drove down the rural highway road at night - I finally got tired of the carnage and pulled over to sleep until dawn.

I didn't have a trim removal tool and getting the 5 rubber push fasteners out with a screw driver was not an easy task. I finally managed to get them out. After removing the trim panel in that side I was able to extract the damaged "Lift Gate Switch" what Ford calls the release button. I set it back in but it has some damage where it may be able to be pushed into the truck again. I ordered a new Switch from Fairway Ford using my Ford Pass points. BTW, I ordered a trim removal tool kit form Amazon last night an received it today.

Another thing I found is that the Ford Blue Oval in the center of the hood is moving around. It appears that one of the 2 "pins" that attach it to the hood plastic is broken. That piece is $224 with online discount. For now I will apply a dab of black silicone under it to secure the one side and decide if I will replace it at a later time.

i masked off the area on the grill and applied some black silicone adhesive under the Blue Oval piece. It’s now rock solid and no silicone visible. I’m happy with the repair but if it comes loose again I’ll replace the emblem.

The truck is a lease. If I decide to buy it after lease is over I might spring for a new piece.

i did order a new Front Trunk Switch using some Ford Pass Points. It was sent to our cabin. I will pop that in at the end of the week when I get back to the cabin. For now I left the driver side trim plate off so I could gain access to the switch connector.
