If you want to skip the visor, looking into something like Tailwind may be worth it.

I installed it on our garage door opener and now I have the garage open option in CarPlay. When I get within 1/4 mile of my home the button appears and when I get within 100 feet of my home it automatically opens the garage door. When I leave and get beyond 200 feet it closes it if I haven't done it myself. All these distances and what it does are configurable.
It also works with Android Auto of course with the same idea.
I installed it in our garage opener and now it shows up for our Mach-e and Lightning for both my wife and I and I don't have to worry about programming the visors and I don't have to worry about someone busting the window on my truck and having a button to press to get into our garage. Lower risk issue, but it's a fringe benefit.
