I asked for suggestions a while back about measuring a Lightning to see if it will fit in my garage with shorter than normal doors. Thanks for some good ideas. My salesman went the extra mile with some scenarios, and I concluded we’re OK, but barely. picked up the truck yesterday and…success! Can’t wait to start the EV journey.

Congrats! You have so much room! I have a house built in the 50s, and I didn't think my Lightning would fit in the garage. Turns out, if I'm veeeery, very careful, I can get it in with -- literally-- 1 inch clearance behind and 1 inch clearance in front. Sides are enough to get in and out, but the front/back are tiiiight.

It’s a much bigger truck than I expected but I've never owned a truck. I have plenty of vertical space. It’s a little tight to one side and I have enough room to access the tailgate or trunk, one or the other at any given time, when the overhead door is closed. Also, before this, I kept my vehicles outdoors. Being BEV I wanted it indoors during winter for efficiency and charger access. This is also my first vehicle I got new so I wanted to protect it more.

Mines tighter than yours. 1/4 inch (front has to kiss the back wall). Glad you fit. Same here last 3 trucks kept outside. This one gets inside when needing home charger.

Similar situation here.
I have about 3" of clearance between the roof and the garage door opener arm. And that was after I sawed off the extra length of metal that extended down further.

I did have to remove the whip antenna to keep it from rubbing against the open garage door.

When I test drove mine, I drove it to my home and pulled it into the garage to make sure it would fit before I purchased it. The salesman was checking to make sure the roof and garage door did not scrape.
