Could you post some more pics of your truck? I've read and heard a lot about it, but I don't think I've seen what the dark elements package actually looks like in detail.

I'd suggest taking the time and enjoying the time to sit in it and fiddle with the settings. The digital searchable version of the owner's manual is excellent. I go to the internet for researching very specific things, or to dive deeper into a particular issue. Hope this helps?

Now all you need to do is trade out that shifter for the rotary dial, enable the glare-free headlights with forscan, and maybe get yourself a Comma 4 to do the hands-free driving for you.... All optional of course, but worthwhile upgrades in my opinion. I've got hundreds of ways you can spend money on your new ride

wow thanks for sharing the pics. That's a really nice spec! It is so interesting how one or two small little things changes the whole feel of it.

are the "lightning" badges on the tailgate blacked out as well? I can't tell from that pic. Your truck would probably look amazing de-badged.

The rotary dial is an interesting take. I watched a few videos on the upgrade. The 'cheapest feeling' of the whole truck is the factory gear shifter. It really feels flimsy and disconnected. I am definitely going to look into all the other things you mentioned. I'm also looking into a clear protective film for the front end.

To make the HV battery last, I believe it is best to only charge up to what you need for the next ride or day and "always be charging" or plugged in to avoid deep discharges and long charging. I set my Home location to only charge to 80% on my SR and charging times to avoid peak electrical costs.

Randy, I was actually looking for an Antimatter, and was hesitant on getting this color. But so happy that I did. I still think the Antimatter Blue is great, but this Rapid Red with the Dark Element package is killer. I still can't believe it's mine. So now that I am in the 'club', is there a certain thing you do when you see another Lightning on the road? A wave, flash of the lights, etc?

In my experience, you give them an excited thumbs up and the driver of the other Lightning driver looks at you like "what the f$#@ is going on?!"

Yeah- no Home Link is insane- I noticed this when I bought my 2025 Lariat.

I previously added the Genie Garage Doors- ALADDIN- app and associated module to my garage door. It allows me to connect my garage door to Alexa- I just ask Alexa to open the garage as I turn up the street.

Lightning Mike's 2 year review is the best Lightning 101 video I've seen. His other Lightning tips are good as well as he's laid back and clear in his explanations.

After searching for the right Lightning, and after getting some good advice from you all, the Rapid Red Lightning Platinum is mine!! Excited and a bit overwhelmed in all its features, and really only touched on the ones that got me home. I did some preliminary searches but came up dry. Is there a section here that's something like a Lightning 101 class? So maybe settings and bells and whistles that I really don't even know where to start. One thing I learned early is that this truck does not have HomeLink for my garage opener. Can't believe that was pulled in 2024. It's a bad pic, but here she it. 2025 Rapid Red with Dark Elements package.
