i upgraded to the 20” wheels for my XLT ER and would like to ask what is the largest size tire that can be installed? I plan to level the truck with a two inch lift in front and may want to increase tire size on the 20” rims.

I don't know that the answer is cut and dry. You might have to be the test case. Wheel offset, and lift all come into play as far as clearances.

If you are planning on upgrading to the 20" XLT ER wheels and adding a 2 inch leveling kit in the front you would be able to comfortably fit a 275/65-20 (34.07) without experiencing any rubbing or having to do any fender modifications. A 285/65-20 (34.5) could also work, however you could run into some slight rubbing with the wheel fully locked.

Tons of options in either size!

Discount Tire comparison chart indicates a +2.1 mph difference on the speedometer. Should I worry about calibrating? I assume the miles left guess-o-meter would be…lower?

Since the change is around 3% I wouldn't worry and would say that most individuals don't calibrate when moving up within this percentage. If there is a way to calibrate for the new size though, it's something to consider if accuracy is important to you.

I'm not sure how the estimated miles function works on the L, but if it's driven by the tire diameter, then it would be lower.
