Lock on walkaway

Apparently Ford is planning to implement walk away lock at some point in the future. I found a process in the onboard owners manual for turning it on.

Category search - about 4th up from the bottom is Walk Away Lock.

Select that and get a few selections about walk away lock.

Select Switching Walk Away On and Off

Follow the process and OOPSY the turn on/off selection is not available

But we should be getting it at some point at least I hope so.

FordPass is used for many, many vehicles.

Let's be honest though - it is horrible to expose a value or option for someone that doesn't have it. Even if used for multiple vehicles we should only see options that our trucks have. Basic app/technology and easy coding.

Are they saying that’s only for model year 2024?

Just asked Livinitup and he said that it would only work on a 2024 Lightning unless Ford gives the 22-23 Lightning a BCM update that includes it.
