The Megawatt Charging System, MCS is being introduced in North America, MCS. This system is capable of charging 3.5 MW, ten times faster than the fastest CCS chargers. MCS is currently intended for electric big rigs but it would sure be nice to have this kind of charging power available to the F150L and would probably be a necessity for the F250L, F350L, etc.

Contact Ford and tell them you want MCS charging on your Ford truck.

That is great and all, but the bottleneck on the Lightning is the battery, not the charger. If you want those charging speeds you need a much bigger battery (8x to 10x what the Lightning has) and higher voltage architecture.

Anything less than 1.21 Gigawatts is simply unacceptable. Doc says the only thing capable of that is Lightning.

Can you imagine the I^2R losses on that sort of power transfer even at 4x our current pack voltage?

You just need some big boy cables!

I did some quick math, a 1000kcmil cable would be a little small and weigh 70ish pounds per conductor!

Edit: I do understand special cable cooling would reduce the required size. Just noting the power loss!
