Mobile charge cord stops charging after door unlock.

I’ve noticed with the mobile charge cord I have to follow a particular procedure in order to get charging to start.
1. Lock the truck
2. Plug the mobile charger into the truck
3. Don’t unlock the truck at any point.

If I plug in before locking the truck, or if I unlock the truck at any point - either before the preferred charge time or during the charging - it puts the charger into an error state. FordPass will show “plugged in not charging”. Mobile charge cord will show the yellow light. Vehicle will say charge station not found.

Anyone else run into this? It’s not a deal breaker but it’s super annoying. Waking up and realizing the truck hasn’t charged sucks.

To add to this it’s not an issue with the electrical setup. Have had this issue at multiple locations. 240 and 120 V
