Since Lightning is being discontinued, I googled what is the opposite of lightning. One of the terms that came up in relation to speed was "Lingering".

Guess I"m the owner of a new Lingering. Have to change my profile.

So does the stubby actually pick up distant fm stations that usually fade in and out? When I had our Expedition, I had to cut a few inches off the antenna to park it in the garage.

If they fade out with the existing antenna, you can be assured of worse performance with the stubby, i.e. you may not even find the station.

Mine hits going in, which causes zero issues. 10 years of hitting with my F-150 caused zero issues also.

Hopefully not a "Malingerer!"

A malingerer is a person or truck or truck company who pretends to be sick or have a disability in order to avoid work, responsibility, or admit they haven't done a good job updating their truck. They feign or exaggerate symptoms and error messages because they didn't consider how to put a trickle charger in their truck to keep the 12v battery healthy. While not classified as a mental illness because it is so pervasive in the auto industry among others, it's a clinically cynical way of running a business using intentional deception to advantage upper level management at the expense of consumers.
