What made the diff for us was the $7500 (and other dealer incentives) made our lease affordable. I was under the impression that the credit was a "non-refundable credit for which we would not qualify. But it was paid to the dealer upfront. In fact, my payment for the lease is less than my 2019 Ram 1500, which I had leased for 42 months then financed. I had another 5 years to pay on it because of the high interest rate. I got about $29K in trade for the RAM. Loved that truck but it did use a lot of gas.

I agree the lightning is a great truck. I hope I can afford to finance it when the lease is up. But in 2 1/2 years from now there may be more options.
in 2-1/2 years ya may be back to a Ram-Charger :)

It was a good truck; a Rebel with leather seats; 6.5" bed; red Rebel interior; E-torque 5.7 liter engine. Hated to part with it. The gas wasn't the big of a liability (depending on the price at the pump.. high in Idaho) but it's just so damn convenient to charge at home in my garage. The RAM was 3 inches shorter than the F-150. Both good trucks so far. The EV Ford is much quicker and nimble and easier to park.

My last truck was 2500 Ram and I loved that Truck - put 431,000km (270K miles) on it.
It was my fifth truck in my life, and it was the best of them up til recently - it just couldn't take another winter of salted highways and there were too many small things starting to go, transfer case leaking, front end stuff needing attention, exhaust was up, tires were done, body repairs needed etc. I had to decide on spending money on it and get a few more years, or park it and get a new one.
I have been wanting the Lightning since they came out, but end of 2024 was the first time it was finally a buyers' market for them. I told the dealer straight up - "I can fix my Ram or I can get into a Lightning...if the price is right"...between Ford Corp and the dealer the price came down and I grabbed it. It's been eight weeks and I gotta say the Lightning is very impressive. Great on ice, solid feeling truck on the hwy, steady power in all ranges. And darn comfortable to boot.
Considering it's a half-ton, it sure can outpull anything I have owned in the past.
