Looks like an interesting project! I know we have a variety of these via the premium apps and tools (e.g. Forscan), but having them as open source would enable more tools and apps.

I have not looked into what it takes to contribute but I will be doing so, and with the smart folks here there could be very meaningful contributions.

For the hardware - There is also the WiCAN-PRO, which I ordered as a goal of logging additional data, but I haven't really played with it or set anything up yet. I haven't looked into alternatives as this one seems to be more specifically designed to work with Home Assistant, which to me is a huge plus.
