I just realized. We have this thread because someone locked their key in the truck.
It wasn't that someone locked their key in the truck. It was that the truck locked itself with the phone, PAAK, still in the truck. If you leave the key fob in the truck, the truck will not lock. Yes, walk away lock is turned on.

When I was young it was lock the key in the car. Cars have been locking themselves for a long time. He left his key in the truck. In this case it was the phone that was the key. The phone stopped connecting to the truck and the truck locked. If not, the truck could have been driven by anyone. In my truck I have to lock the door if my phone or fob is inside. I have left them inside and used the code to reenter.
