Post-purchase Battery Upgrade?

Does anyone know if it is possible to salvage an ER battery and swap it in a SR truck? I know there probably aren't many part-out Lightnings at this point, but I wonder if it is technically possible, the time and cost to do the swap, and if the electronics will just handle it or if they'll need to be swapped or reflashed.

I don't think it's just as simple as a battery swap. I believe the ER has two inverters for charging. However, the architecture of the vehicles is the same, there's no reason one couldn't do the upgrade, it's just a matter of how many parts need to be replaced.

99% certain you’d save money by selling the SR and buying an ER instead.

There is much more than just a different battery. Many systems are uprated or different.

I assume it is possible but as with other makers you will need to get to some technical and software information that won't be available for years if at all.

If we get into an abundance of battery and EV mods down the line. I would not be surprised if someone offered an upgrade.

It's super simple to get the battery out of the F150L right now.

Will it be cost effective? Depends on demand.

Certainly in 4-5 years, we'll find one YouTube video on someone trying to do it
