This just happened to me while I’m working. Tools, Magnetic bolt dish, mechanical pencil, coffee cup.
I don’t want to disable the auto tailgate. I want it to go up only when I tell it to. Auto recalibrate sounds like BS. It’s a pickup truck FFS. People use their tailgate.
Anyone solve this issue?

Mine has not done it in well over a year. Don’t know what fixed it. Maybe a ota took care of it.

In a related issue, there are a couple of us who've had the Frunk open by itself.
I had my truck OFF but was testing the PPOB while OFF FORscan tweak I had just done at the time, may have been about 3 hours like that, so I thought maybe the 12v battery got low with the truck OFF.

I had disconnected the maintainer for the PPOB test because I have to turn the truck around and back in to hook up the generator cord to the house and the maintainer wire wasn't long enough.

Went out, turned the truck ON closed the frunk.

Hasn't happened since, hope this was a one-off!
