Powertrain malfunction

Good morning all, Newbie here. 22 Lariat SR. Love it. Five days ago yellow wrench and get service appeared on dash. Truck runs and operates perfectly. Fordpass says Powertrain / 4-wheel drive malfunction. I made service appt for 3 weeks out. Service manager implies the warning MIGHT disappear. It disappeared.
Anyone else / thoughts?

Welcome! Yes, the warning may disappear, just keep driving and charging as you will and monitor what is going on. Lots of good reading here on your new to you truck.

I’ve had the same issue couple of weeks earlier, it went away as I was driving to take it back to service and went there anyway. Dealer diagnosed and 3 days later they changed the gear shift assembly and truck is running fine now. It seems it’s known issues and I heard it has something to do with the folding gear shift.
