Hello guys. 2025 Flash. The frunk and cab power outlets work just fine. I went to use pro power for the first time yesterday and it didn't work in the bed. Got all the other settings figured and reserve on manual down to about zero. Checked and found the bed plugins (orange wire hanging from the box attached to the bed) were just hanging and possibly left that way after having the bed liner sprayed.

The main plug plugged in just fine like it is supposed.

However the communication plug with 4 small wires only goes in so far. Figured out that the white male and female connector parts stick out enough that the entire assembly won't slide in until the holding latch on top engages. However it does connect together far enough for the 4 flat pins inside the plug attached to the bumper to slide into the other plug.

When I try to turn on the bed power on the sync screen by touching the bed, it lights up for a momentarily and I get a message about dealer service required.

Only thing I haven't tried so far is to disconnect the battery ground for 5 minutes to reset the system.

If the plug ends up working I will have to tape it to hold it together.

Any ideas? Thanks.

12 volt power reset for about 12 minutes didn't do any good and then the frunk didn't want to close as it was beeping 4 times when I pressed either button so I closed it manually. Also noticed that the when scrolling down to the ground fault test that the bed part does not light up. I've tried the green button on the bed and also pushed in each circuit breaker rubber cover on the bed but nothing was sticking out or appeared to reset when I pressed in on them.

I got 16,600 miles on it now and have not taken it in for any of the recalls yet that don't automatically download during regular updates.

thanks.

I've tried moving both white TPAs and they don't seem to move. Looking at your photo above, Except for being 4 pin, my connector coming from the bed box looks like the top left one with the white TPA just a little bit recessed like the one in the pic. Except for being 4 pin, my connector at the bumper looks like the top middle one with the white TPA recessed in about an inch like the one in the pic. The 4 pin TPAs are too small and don't have inside holes for needle nose pliers. I can get them plugged together until the white TPAs are touching but hard as I push the connectors don't move and I still have a ways, half inch or so, to go before the latch on top of the black parts of the connectors will engage. At one point I shorted across 2 of the pins and could see a small spark.

The male connector white TPA can take a Hard push on it when assembling the connectors from scratch.
I had to use needle nose pliers pushing very hard to get it to snap down 5mm.

The female TPA is just a little recessed when locked in.

Can’t help with the outlets, but know that any time the battery is disconnected, the frunk must be closed manually. Totally normal behavior. Don’t slam it shut, just lower until the first latch catches then it will power close the last inch or two.

I would put it back like you found it and make an appt to have the outstanding recalls done and also tell the dealer you have no power to the bed outlets.
You have a warranty right?

Seem like a wiring issue to me.

I read about a similar case where when doing the spray- in bed liner the wires were not reconnected and another case where wires were broken.

If the wires and connectors were hanging down loose, dirt/debris could get into them, so try cleaning them out - might be preventing full seating - you could use a WD40-contact cleaner or equivalent.

There could also be rodent or other critter chewing going on.

These related threads might be of use.

Broken/cut wires:

When I got this error it was only for the bed outlets. I popped my head under the truck and saw some of the wires were cut.

DIRT:

...after reading some replies here, I crawled under the bed of the truck to find the wiring harness mentioned as a fix in other threads. Mine was just dangling down, directly in the path of wheel spray and dirt. I disconnected them both and A LOT of dirt fell out of them, but the connectors were still in good shape. Knocked them clean, and reconnected. Will need to do something to tuck these up and protect them. I drive a lot of winter mtn roads so those must have been absolutely blasted with rocks and water for the last 5 months.

- after the wiring harness thing, I tried turning pro power back on. It worked.

So I tried a 500w load from the cab....all good. Turned on the bed and frunk outlets and tried the 500w load there...all good.

Then I tried one of my airbag fans from the frunk (1400w running 2300 peak), and it worked!
