I thought about this... but where they really really get you is the seats. I just couldn't live without the XLT seats with Heat. Any plans to try and upgrade yours?
Yup, 23 pro's come with heated seats. Cooled would be a nice upgrade though.

@Mcfly did you remove the bumpers before painting? what do you think of the paint job using a spray can?

I did not remove, I used painters tape and plastic sheeting to cover the hood and tailgate.

Link to the plastic sheet
Dura-Gold 16' x 350' Roll of Pure... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CVC13XB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It came out great, most people wouldn't notice it's not from the factory. I'm not sure how it would come out on metallic/pearl paint. But on mine it worked fine. These paint cans are really close to paint guns in quality. They don't splatter and cover evenly.

Thank you! Coming from an R1T, it's nice to be back in a truck you can mod and wrench on.

2023 Lightning XLT ER
My goal was to transform my 23 pro into a budget XLT/Lariat. I was able to add some features my truck was missing thanks to trail blazers on this forum, glare free headlights, remote front windows down, bed lighting, passive keyless entry/lock, door keypad, front light bar, and adaptive cruise . All the paint matching on the handles, mirrors and bumpers was rattle can in my driveway. If anyone would like additional info let me know, I'll share some links and part numbers below. Down the road I want to add the upper glove box and a leather steering wheel.

Lariat Grille, purchased salvage off Ebay $300

Lariat Wheels, swapped with a forum member for my stock 18's

Steps, New Ice take offs Ebay $180

Led lights for steps, Harbor freight https://www.harborfreight.com/12v-utilityrock-white-led-light-2-pack-57205.html $25

Forscan reader $60

Leather seats, new Ice Lariat take offs Ebay $150

Door handle and mirror caps, https://www.trimillusion.com/oem-pa...vdbsnpy8DkUxJsgrHAatd52Dza0KauMIaAuEzEALw_wcB $120

Light bar, salvage Ebay $350

Paint, primer, base and clear https://usa.specialistpaints.com/collections/kustom-canz-kits-custom-aerosol-can-kits $300

Bed Lighting $138

Very nicely done! This is something I would've totally copied you on if I hadn't traded in my Pro for an XLT ER.

Thanks! The only thing I really wish I had was the bigger battery. We have a Bronco for road trips, but it would be nice to take the truck. Hopefully once I get the Tesla adaptor road trips will be much easier.

Yeah, I agree. For 95% of my usage the SR battery was perfect (and I still believe the Pro is one of the best EV deals there is). The XLT ER was at just too good a price point and I got a great trade value for my Pro...couldn't resist.

Did you do the heated steering wheel too? Rain sensing wipers?

Not yet, I just purchased a new leather steering wheel off ebay. I want to do the rain sensing wipers but haven't really looked into it. Is it just a cheap part you have to add or Forscan only?

It's both, takes about a minute to install and it's one adjustment in forscan. Part was about $40 when I got it last year.
