That transmission issue seems to go back to at least the 1980's maybe further - why I stopped buying Chrysler/Dodge/Ram vehicles in the 1990's.I am personally bummed about the Ramcharger, having multiple family members that work for Stellantis, they have been excited also. My one cousin is the main transmission tech at his dealership, because the most often major failure on the Ram trucks these days is the transmissions and the Ramcharger was going to remove that prone failure point. He told me that the v6 engine they choose is actually a very reliable unit at its current version after working out issues over the years.
I don't currently own a lightning yet as I'm at the end of my Tesla Lease, but the Ramcharger was one of the options i was waiting for in hopes of it being released before my Tesla lease ends. I was down between a Ramcharger or Lightning as my next vehicle. Currently I'm shopping around for used lariats/Platinums as a replacement.
