Got my recall done yesterday, took about an hour at the dealer. Mine was in spec thankfully and only needed nut replacement.

I prefer the old method of castle nut and cotter pin, just personally speaking. Then you have a failsafe.

But whatever, Ford. you do you.

Maybe the robot installing the nut had too much trouble lining up the cotter pin to the castle nut and inserting it...easier to program the robot to install a nylocks.
