- 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Flash
Mine just started this yesterday. I have a '25 Flash. It's been in the negatives here (near Flint, MI). 2,500 miles. It's a Job 1 Flash bought in Sept. For the first year, the remote start in Ford Pass worked awesome. Ever since the last OTA update however, my truck seems to enter the battery saver power down mode overnight at much warmer temperatures than before (one night of -15C now compared to multiple nights of -30C before) and, as a result, won’t connect with the remote start through the app. Anyone else experiencing a similar issue and found a work around? Would be nice to be able to actually use the remote start feature when it’s cold…
Two nights in a row. Pretty much since app update 6.5. I plug in, early evening, and then an hour or so it loses the connection because of battery saver mode. In the morning I have to take my daughter to daycare or go to work and this is just a nightmare in these temps. I'll look at the fob option, but I feel as though I shouldn't have to.
I am always plugged in when not driving. Today I put around 100 miles down and it was fine out and about. Remote started and no battery saver until I got home. I park and charge outside.
What are y'all's thoughts? Should I have a dealer check it out? Is it latest software? 12v going bad from maybe sitting on the lot? Just something we have to deal with in the cold?
