Yes, the remote start button instead of the frunk button. This is one of the fobs that I use.

How did you end up programming this? I’ve tried probably 20 different options from other threads and no luck. The closest I get is it says “Key Program Failure” at the last step so at least it’s recognizing the fob exists

For the first year, the remote start in Ford Pass worked awesome. Ever since the last OTA update however, my truck seems to enter the battery saver power down mode overnight at much warmer temperatures than before (one night of -15C now compared to multiple nights of -30C before) and, as a result, won’t connect with the remote start through the app. Anyone else experiencing a similar issue and found a work around? Would be nice to be able to actually use the remote start feature when it’s cold…
Mine just started this yesterday. I have a '25 Flash. It's been in the negatives here (near Flint, MI). 2,500 miles. It's a Job 1 Flash bought in Sept.

Two nights in a row. Pretty much since app update 6.5. I plug in, early evening, and then an hour or so it loses the connection because of battery saver mode. In the morning I have to take my daughter to daycare or go to work and this is just a nightmare in these temps. I'll look at the fob option, but I feel as though I shouldn't have to.

I am always plugged in when not driving. Today I put around 100 miles down and it was fine out and about. Remote started and no battery saver until I got home. I park and charge outside.

What are y'all's thoughts? Should I have a dealer check it out? Is it latest software? 12v going bad from maybe sitting on the lot? Just something we have to deal with in the cold?

I’ve got an appointment this week for them to check out and (hopefully) change the 12V battery. Reading some other threads that seems to be the common source of similar issues for others. Will update once I get it back if that was the case for mine too.

Oddly enough, my door keypad stopped working and passenger side window is acting up all within a week of the battery saver issue developing. Not sure if they are all related but definitely seem to have had lots of issues appear right after that update.

Weird. Let me know what they say. I made an appointment for Weds., but it's contingent on a loaner.

I had to try many times. I’m going by memory, it was a year ago, I recall deciding that the Ford instructions weren’t quite right and that the buttons on the FOB needed to be pointed in a specific direction when in the slot and that the amount of time in the slot needed to be shortened. I kept trying with slight variations in timing and it finally took. I programmed extra keys on my 23 Lariat 5.0 too and had the same issue - same variations worked in the gas truck too.
