Anyone else having issue with rental reimbursement?? Wrench of death while on vacation. Local dealer there had no loaners and did not offer any help to get me in a car. Long story short, I rented a car when I returned home. Been at dealer almost 4 weeks and was told to expect another 2 months for completion of battery repair. Tried to get my truck moved to another dealer thru Ford Customer Service and Ford Roadside Assistance to no avail. The dealer has not called once to update , any communication has been initiated by me.

Not getting the warm and fuzzies from this dealer, but it appears that I am stuck. Very disappointed that the dealer did not offer any resolution to my being stuck at the dealership without a car/loaner (said none were available). Did, however , give me a ride to a local Enterprise to rent my own car. None were available to rent and I ended up walking back to the dealership . No ride help provided. Was able to get a ride from someone I knew( also on vacation) from the dealership and back to Atlanta where I rented a car. I am out-of-pocket for the first months rental, and have not heard back from my contact at Ford for reimbursement.( Although I was assured it would be covered by reimbursement) Coming up on 2nd months rental and am now getting nervous about renting for another month on my dime.

Any input from the members would be appreciated, as I am sure this has happened to others-Thanks

Wow, your getting treated terrible by the Dealer! When you say Ford Customer and Roadside folks didn't help, were you going thru the BEV team?
What has the BEV folks told you?

If you rented a Ford or Lincoln, and if the daily cost meets their threshold ($40 as I recall), they should reimburse you for the rental and gas.

The BEV team said that as long as it was a ford product, they would cover the costs, but did not say anything about a cap on the rental costs. I have not heard back, however, on my request for my firstreimbursement and am looking at another months rental expensed to me on my credit card.

For my issue I was told it was $45/day limit and a max of 10 days, but nothing on it having to be a Ford product (we did anyways). I was also told to expect 2-3 months for the reimbursement.

OK, perhaps FORD will take care of at least some of your rental car expense, but the dealer needs 3 months to replace a module?

IF it does take 3 months, and IF the dealer isn't a EV hater, than FORD must have serious supply issues I am unaware of .... ??

Spoke with the dealer today and faxed him over the rental bill(Service manager) he said he can input it for payment. We will see where that goes....

Spoke with the service manager and he confirmed that they have not started any repair, instead waiting on module from Ford. He seemed to be concerned for my issue and told me the person I had talked to before was no longer with his team. Makes me feel a little better about the dealership. He asked for a copy of first months rental and said he could input it for payment. Fingers crossed.

For my 25s18 recall for replacing 3 of 9 battery modules, I had to get dealer to talk to Ford Centralized Loaner Support Team, via the CRC Dealer Portal to enable extending rental from 3 days to 8 days (after I did not need a rental for 21 days due to vacation) at $40/day, which does not even cover a compact car! Ford letter says "no charge for rental", so I am asking BEV Saundra for full coverage. Ford dealer issued a purchase order number for Enterprise, but Enterprise counter person does not deal with that, so I assume this is an internal PO for the dealer to reimburse me.
I hate the lack of clarity on this whole recall. Ford wants dealer to drop battery, check serial numbers, then order replacements, even though Ford knows that information already--that is why they put me on the recall. Waste of time. Ford BEV says dealer only needs 3 days to do work, so that is why rental time was initially only 3 days offered. @Ford Motor Company needs to look at things from the customer point of view, or they will be losing future sales.
