Return to Sport not returning

Return to Sport mode question pops up as usual when booting up my 24 Flash and I select YES. When I go to look it's still in Normal mode. I then switch it to Sport and I'm good until the next boot cycle.

Worked fine until the last update of 25.2.8.5.

Anyone else notice this recently that uses Sport mode?

Seems to be hit or miss with mine, sometimes I get in and it's still on sport, sometimes I get the pop up so I have no idea what's going on, ghost in the machine perhaps lol.

Yes frustrating as I’m a in sport mode kinda person 24/7 lol. Sometimes my boot splash screen takes so long to come up, that the option to return to sport is already gone, then I have to go to the main settings again and select sport …it’s a hit and miss…

Since you have a 2025, it is sticky up to 4 hours. If truck is off more that 4 hours it prompts you. See here for Owners Manual excerpt.

For others, this is only for 2025's. Lots of other posts where folks want to enable it for earlier years. Start with the post I linked above. Spoiler Alert - so far it can't be done for earlier years.

I just wanted to chime in, my truck starting doing this recently after these updates.

APIM-25.2.4.9
TCU-25.2.8.5

Now, I still get the prompt to return to sport mode as usual. The color scheme switches to grey but after 20-30 seconds, it flips back to blue (normal). I have to then go back into vehicle settings and manually toggle it back to sport and it will stay there.

I always drive in sport mode. It's so annoying that I have keep choosing on each drive. Such a stupid decision on Ford's end.
