Had to take an unscheduled trip for a funeral. Took the Mach-E as no need for the truck. Departed with temps in the 20s. As we approached the first fast charger, I noticed on my CarScanner screen a large energy pull on the heater, which alarmed me. As I started to panic, I then remembered that the 2022 Mach-E can successfully precondition the battery for faster charging, unlike the 2022 Lightning. Whew, panic attack averted!
This tongue in-check post is to again point out that Ford, for 4 winters, has not seen fit to provide this capability to 2022 Lightnings, despite repeatedly saying soon️™️. Of course the Lightning does have the capability to set a target charge when DC fast charging, whereas the Mach-E doesn't, so there's that... And Ford did give the Lightning a faster charging curve, whereas the Mach-E curve isn't close.
