Changing the color on my order

I was able to place an order for an ER Lariat earlier this week. Now I am second guessing my color choice. I went for Antimatter Blue but now I am worried it will be too dark show dirt too easily and thinking I might prefer Atlas Blue.

Does anyone know if it is possible to change your order after you place it and before a production date is assigned? If so, are there any downsides or delays that doing so may cause?

No issues with me about three weeks ago from Iced Blue Silver to Carbonized Gray on a 5/23 build week. The GM did it and it was confirmed the next day by ford with an email and new color on my order. He did make out new paperwork for me to sign right there and then. Nothing delayed.

Thanks. So I assume you placed your order at your dealer to begin with? I did mine completely online. Not sure how that changes things.

Nope, I ordered all online with my Lighting. I walked in with my tail between my legs looks and the manager thought I came in to cancel. But was pleasantly surprised that all I wanted was a color change. He knew who I was because I bought my Bronco from him and found out during the color change he had made me a preferred customer.

I emailed my dealer to change color. They said that they would try if they could. The next day I got an email from Ford updating my order... Still waiting on a production week.

I also chose Antimatter Blue, and I am also second guessing myself and considering changing to Atlas Blue. I've found it incredibly difficult to find actual pictures of them side-by-side. Does anyone know where I can find them? Mine is scheduled to build this week so it's probably too late anyways.

I still haven't seen them next to each other. I found some youtube videos of each color. You will find more videos if you don't specifically search for the lightning. I was also able to see "Antimatter Blue" in person at my dealer. An employee had an older regular F150 in that color. It was cloudy and to looked very very close to black.

I have a guitar i used to gig with that was very similar to antimatter blue. When its starts getting dark out, it's gonna look black. Trust me.

My Lincoln Corsair is Artesian blue metallic, similar to atlas blue, and it gets VERY dirty, VERY quickly! So if you're worried about dirt showing, only way to get away with staying in blue family and looking clean is a very light blue.

Just stopped at a dealership today and saw both Atlas Blue and Antimatter Blue on ICE f-150s in bright sunlight and shade. I think AB will look black most of the time, unless direct bright sunlight is hitting it. I think Atlas Blue in direct sunlight is a bright blue, brighter than I like. If I had to choose for myself I would pick AB.

Note that both antimatter and atlas blue can be abbreviated as AB. Which do you mean?

Yeah, I think I might try to switch to Atlas Blue if I still can. I had a black car once and really didn't like how it instantly showed dirt after a wash.

I ordered AMB because I couldn’t get it on my Bronco. When it’s clean it looks awesome, but it will show everything. The running joke on the Bronco forum is Antimatter Black. I haven’t decided on changing my color or not. I would change to Carbonized Gray, Oxford White, or possibly old man red (Rapid Red). My build week just got pushed from 6/13 to 7/11.

Well, my dealer finally changed my order from Antimatter Blue to Atlas Blue! I hope I made the right decision! ?
