I have a platinum arriving in a few days and, like every other platinum, they have the 22" tires.
My understanding is that the larger tires are partially why platinums have a slightly lower EPA range vs other extended range versions (300 vs 320 miles), in addition to some extra cooling equipment the platinum includes.
Does anyone know of any efficiency tests where a platinum had its 22" swapped out for the 18" or 20"stock tires from the other non-platinum models?
I'm planning on doing a ton of road tripping, so every mile lost will add up. I would consider doing a tire swap if it had a meaningful difference, and if Ford will sell them to me.
