Anyone else have this issue? I was listening to music today and my rear sub has somehow just blown out and now buzzes instead of producing bass. I barely raise the volume on this truck so it’s kind of weird that it would just die on me randomly. I have a 2023 Lariat 8 speaker system.

I have not had this problem and routinely have it a bit loud like 20 or 30 on the volume meter when a proper rock ‘n’ roll song is on! Maybe check the wiring for a short??
Edit: looks like we have about the same vehicle

Is it definitely blown? Have you tried other sources of music?

Have you made any EQ adjustments? I’m surprised you got it to destroy itself as it’s not super loud to begin with. Are you sure it’s the sub and not one of the door speakers?

BTW, if it is the sub you can always upgrade!

How did you get the driver seat back seat down?

Google it. It's the same as every F150. There's probably a short YouTube video that will make more sense than an explanation here.

It’s possible one of my kids cranked it up while waiting in the truck without me, but no one owns up to it ha. I had the same thought though about this being an opportunity to upgrade the sub.

20-30?! I rarely go past 10-12 and it is LOUD (25 flash) BUT this is using an external audio source (carplay) and an app that has its own EQ - this makes a MASSIVE DIFFERENCE in audio quality

*app is called 'Anywhere'

I can understand the 20 to 30 listening level. Yes it’s loud, but the system doesn’t come alive until that range. B&O neutered the lows too much below 20 and chose a “sub” that’s not really a sub.

From what I can tell, they essentially pulled all the gain out of it. With an external app w/eq, it really does come alive to where you'd expect it to have been from factory.

Tons of clean full audio (and bass), from the 10-12 volume level

It would certainly be helpful. That said the factory DSP has massive bass rolloff below 57hz (see the blue line).
