Google it. It's the same as every F150. There's probably a short YouTube video that will make more sense than an explanation here.

does this work? I’ve never tried.

No it doesn't. You can release it, with difficulty, by releasing a latch behind the seat. You can add a lanyard or aftermarket device to make it easy.

Anyone else have this issue? I was listening to music today and my rear sub has somehow just blown out and now buzzes instead of producing bass. I barely raise the volume on this truck so it’s kind of weird that it would just die on me randomly. I have a 2023 Lariat 8 speaker system.
Lower the seat and look at the speaker while it is speaking.

Maybe you can see a tear in the cone, maybe you see loose or missing mounting bolts.
If it's the coil it won't be visible.

If it is just the bass speaker, maybe its the amp in the back that powers it.
You could test for a bad amp or speaker coil by trying the speaker with another audio amp and see if it buzzes.

Did either the speaker or the amp show signs of getting wet from a leak?

Some F-150's have had water leakage at the back window, or the vent back there some where.

The most likely thing with buzzing is either a blown or ripped speaker or blown amp.

If the radio head (the thing in the dash, not the band) is the problem it could be over-driving the bass speaker amp causing distortion - that could sound like a blown speaker or fuzz-tone distortion effect (think psychedelic music).

I worked as a musician for about 10 years and saw a lot of guitar player and blown speakers (I was the drummer) and those are what it usually ended up being.
