Oh thanks for this! As someone who shares their truck with their spouse that little Phone icon will also be a game changer.

I wonder where they said “video streaming has been added” if that means they are adding the new airplay option for iOS so that we can cast to the screen while in park which would be great for charging.

Well I don’t think Apple has released that feature yet but. They said in September that it would be coming so I have no idea. But yeah agreed it would be so awesome!

FYI all: this little tidbit below that I just discovered might perhaps be a part of the "full NACS" update(s).

Coming back from Kentucky the last two days, I started playing with FordPass on my phone, which I rarely pay much attention to beyond some basics. Of note, I just also updated my FordPass to the latest Google Play version.

Lo and behold, I noticed a new (to me anyway) nested tab, to wit: CHARGING (the center bottom little lightning bolt between VEHICLE and the SETTINGS wrench / FIND PUBLIC CHARGING (right below the vehicle charging selection). On FIND PUBLIC CHARGING, I started to explore DC Fast charging stations in Maritime Canada because of an upcoming road trip. And, as the stuff loaded within the USA including where I live and where I was at the moment, a bunch of 250kW stations popped up, like, all over, in between the usual 50 kW, 120kW and 350kW charging stations. I clicked, and YES... those 250 kW points are TESLA SUPERCHARGERS  like, many many many more than the very few that had been there on Ford NAV since 2023.

Just to try it out, I navigated to one later in the trip and charged there, in Hagerstown MD. And this Supercharger had not been visible on Sync and still is not visible on Sync, in my truck anyway... yet it and its brethren are clearly displayed on FordPass.

So, the Good News: our FordPass' latest version now already shows all the Tesla NACS Superchargers available for our Ford cars, regardless whether the APIM shows them yet or not.

The Not Yet Good News: to get to one, You have to navigate using the phone screen unless Your Ford is completely updated with the newest APIM + releases. No matter what i did with the FordPass app on the phone, it wouldn't "translate" to a destination on the Sync. Not yet anyway... and maybe perhaps it will once the GWM / TCU / Synch etc. updates all finish rolling out.

Of course, the very cool FIND PUBLIC CHARGING network-agnostic feature showed that on the pretty large island of Newfoundland Canada, almost the sole DC Fast charging stations are the 62 kW ChargePoints. But hey, at least I know, and I know now how to find them easily.

So I got to use the new updates this evening. I used the ford nav to route home from New Jersey I was at 52% charge and would need 1 charge stop on the way home. It routed me to a Tesla supercharger!!! That is so nice to have built in to the nav.

To complicate matters further, my 25 Flash on EAP just got it and the release notes are different.

no mention of:
If you have a vehicle with SYNC 4, Video Streaming is now available, expanding the in-vehicle entertainment options. While parked, seamlessly watch news and entertainment. You can also make memories on your next road trip or tailgating event with the Stingray Karaoke app. While parked, the lyrics will be displayed on the center touch screen. As you drive, passengers can scan the QR Code from the center touch screen and sing along by viewing the lyrics on their phone.
Both apps are available in the Apps drawer.

The way it’s written it’s a bespoke app named “video streaming”

Gotta love the "I'm in EAP". #NotSupposedToDiscloseThat
What I care about is the news. The EAP part just means this is an early stage of the rollout.

As far as #FightClubDoesNotTalkAboutFightClub is concerned, that’s between Ford and Jace.

Not quite true on iOS phones at least.

When you select one of those Tesla chargers there’s a little directional arrow to the right of the name

Ford F-150 Lightning SYNC Update 25.2.4.9 APIM IMG_1115

Press that and I get my choice of navigating using Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze

While the phone is doing the navigating, it will appear up on my Sync screen in CarPlay.
