My nav subscription runs out in about 3 weeks so I guess I’ll never get to see Tesla chargers in the native app. Of course I haven’t used the native nav in the last two years so it really doesn’t matter.

I think I am going to start using the native nav if they ever bless the 2022/2023 trucks with this. The advantage is that it does preconditioning. Now if you are an Android user you have this now, but not us IOS users.

I hope Ford doesn’t abandon us <2024 Lightnings.

For those of us living in the south I don’t think there is much benefit to preconditioning. As long as the charger is capable I’ve always hit the 170 kW peak whether I preconditioned or not in the temperatures I’m willing to travel in. If it’s cold enough to require preconditioning I’m staying at home anyway.

Anyone with the advanced charge settings enabled get the new APIM update? If so how does it work?

Can you check your charging menu on the screen.. I am curious if the OTA reconfigured the APIM to add the enhanced charge menu. If you hadnt done it already in Forscan
What you mean? 🤣. I know I checked updates and it’s downloading the TCU update

I wonder where they said “video streaming has been added” if that means they are adding the new airplay option for iOS so that we can cast to the screen while in park which would be great for charging.
My experience with the update…

I found no new streaming apps native to Sync. Still just YouTube.

When connect with my iPhone, I was unable to stream YouTube, Netflix, or AppleTV to sync (I was in park when I tried). It didn’t happen automatically, and it was not an option for video in the sharing section of each app).

In other news, I could navigate to Tesla chargers, but I had to find the setting within maps to confirm I had an adapter. I provided a screenshot to help:

You can also enable this when you search or find a tesla charging station.

Is this update released to 2023 model years?
Not yet. I am fairly certain it will be.. typically a week or two between the releases. Mach E hasnt see these updates either

"needed" isn't capitalized like it should to be consistent with the other menu item texts. If Ford can't even proofread, what mistakes are they making deeper in the code?

I would choose some other wording. If I select that option, will it only show me stations that require an adapter? Am I telling it that I need an adapter but don't have one? I'd put it under "avoidances" - avoid chargers requiring an adapter.

SYNC 4 = 12" screen
SYNC 4A = 15" screen

YouTube has been available on the 15" screen for awhile. I assume this means YouTube is now available on the 12" screen. I could be mistaken, as Ford nomenclature isn't always super obvious.
