Tire replacement selection when i have tire rim protections

Hey guys

My oem tire is now 3/16 and needs a new set (64000km)

I have rim and tire protection when buying the truck, do I have limitation selecting tires?

I wanna find something more EV friendly as I drive a lot so efficiency is important to me
but also wanna make sure if I'm able to use the coverage when tire is busted for whatever reason

AFAIK the Ford dealership tire and rim protection covers only OEM tires that came with the truck. Here in the USA anyway.

Do you mean the "TripleCare Plus" thing from Ford? That does not cover tire wear, just accidental damage. You must also have greater than a minimum tread depth (it might be 3/16) for them to replace it.

I used TripleCare the week after I got my Lightning. They took care of it with no hassle, but you do have to take it to a Ford dealer and you have no choice of tire (they will put on an OE tire).

OP's question is not about coverage for the tire he's replacing, it's about whether he is restricted on the new tire purchase to keep his coverage.

The correct answer was given - you don't get coverage on any replacement tires.

Thanks, when I order the truck it comes with AT tire, if I switch to the OEM non-AT tire, do I still have coverage?
