Same situation happened to me after having my’24 lariat ER in two days, if I were you I’d replace it , it’s not going away completely, sooner or later it will come back.

The instructions tell them to put in a part with a specific part number...just to make sure it's the newest version.I have read that Ford updated the shifter part to address the common failures. I'd definitely say have it replaced since it's likely the updated part that (hopefully) will prevent a future failure (fingers crossed). You may want to ask the dealer if they can verify that the part number is a new release. I'm guessing it is since I think the backorder is due to Ford updating/manufacturing the new part.
Yes was very bummed, had high hopes for the Lighting.Your posting made me glad I leased my current Lightning. That way I can walk away after 3 years if my truck has issues like yours. Hopefully not.
Regardless, I rarely keep vehicles past their basic warranty period. The only exception was a 2015 Lexus RX450h Hybrid. It never was in the shop for issues in the 8 years of ownership. I handed it down to our adult daughter.
I’d love to do this. Do you have any details for this you could share? Thanks in advance.Yes. It’s likely going to crap out again down the line.
Mine is a 2022 and not involved in the CSP and I swapped mine for the rotary dial vs from a 2022 Escape. Not going back.

If you have already ordered the new mounting trim, you need to check with them regarding which dial it was designed for.Does anyone know the exact Ford rotary switch I need to order? I see two different switches, the mounting holes appear to be different. (I did order the plastic mounting.) I’ve had the problem a couple months now and my truck is out of warranty so I’m guessing if I take it to Ford it will cost me quite a bit more.
