I love the look of the Turbine wheels on the Maverick Lobo. Alas, they would not work on the Lightning due to bolt pattern and weight.

I have been looking around and I cannot find wheels or covers which would work on the Lightning. Has anyone had any luck/experience with aero wheels?

Not exactly on point for Your question, but...

I recently came into a great deal on very slightly used Nokian Hakkapelitta Winter tires. I naturally looked for steel wheels to mount these Winter tires on, for relative cheap price and for the abuse that Winter driving metes out to wheels (ice + ice ridges + hidden curbs etc.).

And I simply couldn't find steelies for the Lightning. Plenty of steelies out there, new and used, for the Ford F150 lug patterns, but none with the weight rating suitable for the Lightning. So, FYI... and good luck hunting.

Yeah. That is what I am running into as well. No cool aero wheels for a 7,000 pound (unloaded) vehicle.

It seems the aftermarket is still too small for the (relatively) small number of Lightnings sold, compared to the millions of gasoline & diesel F150s running around. All we can do is wait.

I'm still waiting for someone to tape up their wheels and report the affect on efficiency. Alas...

I swapped my factory aero rims for aftermarket traditional rims, same OEM tires, and saw no significant decrease in efficiency. Put my winter tires on the OEM aero rims :p.

I did ask my brother who works at a local Acura dealership, said that he couldn't find any aftermarket options that resemble the Lobo rims. As for steelies, he recommended that we do not use steel rims as the weight rating may not be sufficient to carry the mass of the Lightning and we stick with alloys. Didn't say that steel rims wouldn't work; just said it would be at our own risk if we do.

HOWEVER.. If you did want to risk it, you could look into these covers: https://www.rotiform.com/products/w...4nx7c-POo5ut4mdKYokkNBGVIhzaE3IECLYbkWWjBpKud
