LOL, sometimes I can be brief.

All that up and down - discharge too low - charge too fast - can put a strain on the battery over time and lead to sulfates and/or bulging/venting/electrolyte loss, and battery failure as it gets weaker and weaker.

But there is a two word solution, lol.
Ha..... and We could build a special LOCKED PAGE with all the usual recommendations that Chris could hyperlink to and save time with copy/pasting into the threads

Some how I became the 'battery guy' lol.:)

How to make 12v lead acid batteries last a long time was literally one the first things my very first engineering prof shared with us back in the cold snowy winter of 1979.

He had been in the Navy and I guess must have been in charge of all the lead-acid batteries the Navy used and had to keep healthy!

Guess the Ford designers could have used that class?

I used to teach classes/workshops in writing patent applications to young attorneys.

Those applications are technical and legal documents that must be comprehensive in explaining how the new and improved thingamagig (invention) is made and used in sufficient detail so as to enable one skilled in the art (e.g., engineering).

[to paraphrase 35USC 112(1): https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/35/112 ]

So sometimes I tend to over-explain stuff, alas.

My bad. :computerrage:
