I saw a FB message so I reached out to my agent again with my VIN. He was able to get a quote out of the State Farm system this time. Lariat ER in the DFW,TX area - about $80/month. This is just a couple of dollars cheaper than my Model 3. No accidents, good coverage of 500/500/500 and a $500 deductible.

He noted from the system that it is rated the same as a standard F-150.

That would make sense. I’ve beenrear ended in my Tesla and it was $37000; $23000, and $4000. (Yes I’ve been rear ended 3 times all while fully stopped at a stop light) The motors were never damaged, neither were the batteries. The high repair costs were all for body and frame. So along those lines the Lightning is mostly F150

$37k for rear end damage that didn't include the motors? I'm surprised it wasn't just totaled, was this an S or a X?

I got rear ended nearly 2 years ago. About 75% of the repair costs was due to repainting nearly the whole car since they couldn't match the bumper they replaced.

If they were at least it would have been some excuse. The accidents were in different states too, so it must be me.

Both times I was fully stopped. Granted it was wet out, but I was fully stopped at a red light. We’re not talking about I just came to a stop. Or jammed on the brakes to a stop. I came to a normal controlled stop was fully stopped for what felt like a minute at each of these.
