Is it true that dealers can only place orders for new Lightnings on Thursdays?
I've had no luck finding a Platinum in the color I want with fixed running boards on a dealer lot. So, I gave up & told the salesman I wanted to special order one. It was a Sat & he said they can only order during the week. No problem, that makes sense. I didn't hear from him so I emailed for an update. That's when he told me about thurs. No word from him since. I get the feeling he's not really interested in selling something not already on the lot.

A dealer can place an order whenever they want. Orders schedule for production dates on Thursdays. As long as a dealer has an allocation and that factory is scheduling that week. I do videos every Tuesday on this information. Make sure the dealer completes the COVP so you get the Employee Pricing locked in. When it comes in have them use the Protect Date to receive the order date incentives.
