Just had ford come out for the most recent recall that popped up for towing. While here they also performed an interval service as I was getting close to 30k miles.

Since then every time I get in the truck I get the failed software update notification and more importantly my incredibly nice and smooth ride is now a wobbly annoyance. You can see the steering wheel shake back and forth while driving. It’s almost like the tires need to be rotated or balanced but they just rotated them and then came back out after I told them about what was happening and rotated them back. They couldn’t do anything about the software update failure either.

I’ve had my platinum since 2022 and this is my first real issue other than water in the rear lightbar. Has anyone had something like this pop up on their truck? Every thing physically seems to be okay with the truck haven’t even had to replace my tires yet as I’m still only at 26k miles.

Failed software update notice, weird behavior, sound like a 12v battery system problem to me.
Have them check the 12v battery and the DC-DC converter and the overall 12v system for faults.
If you get a new battery, get a maintainer with an AGM mode for daily use.
You have a 2022, so it is about time for 12v battery problems to crop up.

Thanks, for the failed software update that was my first assumption, seen enough posts about similar issues here over the past four years. Hoping it’s an easy fix, taking the truck back into the shop today. There is a backlog of updates they are going to do as well as doing a road force balance for the tires and investigating that some more.

Hope they get to the bottom if it this time.

The wobbling is a new effect to me if it is a bad battery, but with lane keeping, sensors, etc that affect steering, motor control, and so forth, could be related to the 12v system or some kind of wiring problem if it is not a wheel balance thing or software that needs to be updated.

Good luck!
