Good to know that the 2022 MY production is slated to end in early October. That should get everyone who had a chance to order their trucks this calendar year. Of course this is pending any production or shipping delays.

So for Scheduling to start on the 4th of august orders would have to start at least a week before that right?

I would think at least a month in advance. then they'd have time to start doing all their projections and what not. Of course... then we'd need time to see all the pricing and features... which means that would have to be available in June

The way I read it is August 4 starts the ordering waves. Job #1 in October is actual production start. This matches my understanding of MY production dates

But it says scheduling starts. For them to schedule they have to have orders in the system to optimize their runs don't they?

But it will include Android Auto instead of Sync 4!
If that’s not a reason to cross your fingers for the 2022, I don’t know what is.

I have Android Automotive in my Polestar. I hate it. And there is yet to be CarPlay support. It’s also creepy how many privacy opt-outs you have to do.

Meanwhile, the Sync 4 is *flawless* with wireless CarPlay and very stable. I’m hoping my still unscheduled 2022 Platinum gets done as a 2022!

I don’t think I’ll downgrade my phone just to have it potentially work with a car. But Android Automotive OS (which is different than Android Auto) does not even support Android Auto mirroring in the Polestar’s implementation I think.

Android Automotive (AAOS) is the built-in operating system replacing the QNX-based Sync 4—and it is an actual OS rather just mirroring what your phone can do (Android Auto). It’s buggy and has incredibly few apps for it in the AAOS Play Store (and they are terrible quality).

Yes that would be extream to change phones. I'm just saying I know a android operating system has to be better with android opposed to IOS... Imagine if they where changing it to ios android phones.. That would be trouble for Android phones.

yep Android Automotive is junk...not much different than the OS tbh. Happy I will not be part of beta testing LOL Volvo's adoption of it has been bumpy as heck and there are still piles of inconsistencies and issues....and that's not even touching the surface with regards to security patches.

Okay so order bank is one month before scheduling starts. It’s official then: F-150 order bank opens July 4th. Cue the blogs.
