They are not painted in batches. This view is after the bodies and beds come in from the ASRS building (Automatic Storage and Retrieval System). That is where the painted bodies are stored until they are needed and then sent in final assembly sequence.I am not sure if they are painted in batches but lined up based on a different order or they can paint different colors in line like Rivian:
The body is already painted at this point. The fender has a plastic shroud over it to protect the paint from getting scratched.Do I have to take this out to paint it or put a film on it?
I was not clear. What I meant is that I hate the white light against my dark gray and plan to do something when I get it. Either put a layer of transparent black spray paint on it or dark film to make it look darker. I was wondering if any of you that have done that kinda thing and think I should take out the light assembly to do it or just tape stuff around it as is?The body is already painted at this point. There was a previous thread by a user who had his light bar wrapped with window film.
The whole time I'm watching I'm imagining forum members screaming at their screens "GET OUT OF THE WAY!" as he holds up production for the video. Or maybe that's just me...
That's because Level 4 charging doesn't exist (AFAIK) His specs of 480V x 230A = 110kW but the charger is putting out 131kW according to the screen, either way well within what some EA/EVGo chargers already put out.
