The new truck has landed!

Kind of sad to let my 2019 Platinum F150 go. Low miles and in fantastic shape, so not something I’d usually not get rid of. Have to pay that Lightning bill though, so it’s all cleaned out and ready to trade/sell.

Did a P&S with the dealer when I ordered and have bank on standby to cut me a check, hopefully I can pick up tomorrow if all goes according to plan.

Mine finally arrived at the dealer late yesterday (8/8). Should be picking it up on Thursday or Friday!

My Lighting arrived at the dealership yesterday at about 2PM. They surprised me by getting it all ready for me to drive home last evening. I could not be more pleased. It is interesting to note that the delivery window was 8/2 - 8/8, but yesterday afternoon it updated to 8/9 - 8/15. I wonder what that was all about? Looks like I dodged another delivery delay bullet.

I see this happening a lot as I am tracking, they did the same with my ETA, added another 7 days on top of the original ETA, but it had already landed at the dealership, I took delivery 2 days before the original date would have expired, seems they are increasing the margin after extended transportations delays to give the dealers enough time for PDI.

So out of 40 in our group, only 2 of us are sitting in Dearborn. That's just odd.

I'm still waiting for "Built" then will agonize waiting for "Shipped". Not sure why the QC check is taking so long. A little concerned at this point but what am I gonna do. Hurry up and wait.

Hope yours ships very soon. Congrats to those who have their trucks and can enjoy them during the summer time.

Something is up when the rest of you shipped around a month ago and Regular and Lava are still sitting in Dearborn. I really think they are remaking our trucks! Kidding but maybe not??

Agreed Lava, it's either so far buried in last in first out, or they are checking every solenoid, bolt, aluminum seem, led connection etc.

I had this horrible vision a while ago thinking of your and others plight with long overdue production, something big like the spray-in liner guys did a nasty job and they need to manufacture a new bed, the HVBP had a failure, and they are sending it back to the jobber to be reconditioned or repaired.. chock this up to wild speculation....

My orphaned Load Child, who has a spot reserved on a trailer, is still living at the railroad. The car haulers headed for my dealers have been packed with Broncos and Mavericks. They can fit a lot more of them on a truck than my big bastard. He'll be along shortly, I guess, since I have a new date.
