How many keys did you receive with your Lightning?

This is another topic I thought I had read about before, but can't find in the search.

The short version is the dealership I selected to pick up my 2022 MY in August tried to charge me for extra things. One of them, wheel locks, I had already paid for. They tried telling me that every vehicle they sell has to have various options attached. After over 45 minutes of back and forth, they allowed me to buy the vehicle I ordered from Ford the way I had it configured and with no dealer add-ons. When they gave me the key, they said it only came with one. According to them, now that the vehicles can use the app as a key, Ford only ships one key. I initially believed them until I realized that I don't even have PAAK as an option on my build. So the dealership that tried charging me for options I had already paid for is who Ford is telling me I need to go back to in order to inquire about how many keys I should have received. See how this is working? To complicate things, I tried to save some settings as a MyKey. But because I don't have a second key, which the vehicle thinks I should have, I can't change any of the MyKey settings. Customer service is no help. 7 transfers to various departments and over an hour on the phone, only to be told to go back to the dealer who I think was trying to scam me into buying my own second key.

They all come with TWO KEYS! Every model of Lighting comes with TWO. The Ford MyKey system, that is in most all of their current vehicles, is always TWO. If they misplaced a key, it's on them, they need to replace it. They know this and are trying to weasel out of it.

Or they're trying to hold a key hostage and get you to pay $450+ for it or whatever the current ridiculous price is.

I think this is the one that I read about a while back but couldn't find. I remember seeing where someone was given one and Ford provided them a second one. But I can't even get Ford to acknowledge how many keys it should come with.

They come with 2. Every vehicle Ford sells comes with 2. Even the early model Mach-E that only had 1 from the factory was given a second key because PAAK is so unreliable.

Yep they said I got one by mistake and they had the other in a store box. My sales guy apologized as he said he missed it

All Lightnings come with two keys. Period.

My dealer is telling me the car only came with one key, i dont know what to do, i told them that all new cars come with 2 keys therfore i should get a 2nd one but they keep on saying the car only comes with one and the ford app is the 2nd one

They are full of crap. Tell them to make you a 2nd key as they can easily do that.

I was being told the same thing when I picked up mine. After being on this forum and following up with a fairly stern email to the general sales manager and then to the salesperson, they did contact me back and said they had a key with my name on it. I was able to go in and pick it up. My suspicions were confirmed that they had it all along, because it was already paired to my truck and I had to do nothing to make it work. They made it sound like they had it all along and were waiting on me to come get it, although they never contacted me about it until I pressed them recently. It took me reaching out to them again and saying I knew the vehicle came with two. The story ends with me getting my second key. But thanks to this forum for providing the info to back it up.

When we purchased our Chevy bolt we were shorted a key. They told me at delivery. They ordered a replacement and took forever for it to come in. I was able to obtain a replacement (not laser cut) and program it myself. Then, almost a year later a package arrived in the mail with the original key #2, so we had 4.

When they said that they couldn't find the spare key. I said that key #2 is not a spare. Key #2 is mine and key #1 is hers. Key #3 is the first spare.

I need another option, I got 3. 2 fobs and 1 valet key.
