I think it has to do with the fact that I rely on my wifi to get in touch with the truck from the app. No cell service at all.

So, I know the truck is off because this has happened to me several times. But the app says its on when I first bring up the app on the "vehicle" page.

Anybody know about this? I've tried refreshing the app and closing and opening it. Still gives me false information.

I could understand how, last time it was in touch with the app through wifi or blue tooth, the truck may have been on. But the phone was with me when I shut the truck off. May not have been getting a good wifi signal out where the truck is parked either.

Go into settings on your phone and scroll to apps, then find the app and click on it, go into storage and clear cache and try again. (Android)

Share a screen shot. How does your app think your truck is on? Most features have no feedback to the app - like Lock. The app can't tell you if it's locked or unlocked. You just tell it what you'd like to do and it will do it, most of the time.

The only feedback I really get is the 15 or 30 minutes when I've "started" the HVAC.

Mine says locked or unlocked with a green check mark in a circle and it also says running after it starts with an animated fan spinning.

If I select Vehicle along the bottom - it opens with this screen - it either says vehicle is "on" or "parked". I've seen it say "parked" sometimes but usually it's says it's on, even if it isn't.

It's most likely not updating due to your lack of cell reception. Try within Bluetooth range and see what happens.

It does give Starting Climate and shows Climate on, when you initiate it. For the check mark, it only gives that as feedback, so you are correct about feedback. However, if you want to just look at the app later to see the state of the truck, the app can't do it without you giving it one of the commands. The app doesn't always have the current state of the truck, like Tesla or maybe others.

If you look later to see the state, the app is out of sync and has no clue what's going on if you don't initiate communication with the truck again. So as already noted for the OP if the app tells you the truck is running, it just has no update. Lock or unlock the truck remotely and see if it changes the Vehicle is On to Parked.

Sometimes the app just won't sync with the truck for some reason. I've had it happen a couple times. It fixed itself not long after.

That must be something going on with the device you use to access with. Every time I open the app on my phone it shows me exactly what state the truck is in. I can start it and get the animated fan, I can shut the truck off close the app before it changes, open the app and the fan is no longer spinning, if I lock it and get the green circle with arrow, close the app and reopen it, the arrow in circle is gone.

I've seen the app show my truck running when it's not before. Same thing for my girl's Bronco Sport that I have on my app, too. Not sure what causes it.
