I would always allow dogs a chance to ride in the cab until they prove they do something inappropriate.

NOT the same with every human I come across!

I get a lot of satisfaction from the pure joy my dogs experience from having their noses saturated with smells as we roll along. Smell is to them what sight is to us, only more so.

Put them in the bed weather permitting. No dogs will ever grace the inside of my vehicles. The bed was good enough for us kids growing up in the 60's-80's, put a short leash on them if you're afraid they'll jump out.

That's a 120v heated dog pad plunged in for the winter sesson. Remote start the truck so cab and dog pad gets warm before we get back to the truck...

When folded, do the stairs fit under the rear seat (when the rear seat is down)?

As I have stated earlier, my kids ride in the cab.

I'd have to check if a kennel is permitted here in MA, but typically everything is illegal here unless they can figure out how to tax us on it lol But I have Great Danes so the back seat is more or less their kennel

So, how many Great Danes can fit in the back seat of your Lightning? I can only imagine the reactions you may get at stoplights when those huge heads and ears emerge from an open window.

I’m just glad that I have no need to drag my dog along with us.

Here's a somewhat simpler solution I use to help my aging Doberman. Not sure where I got it but should be relatively inexpensive
